Studying up on animals for my next two days.
| The 1st was at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, where there were gorillas. | Then the we got to see elephants.
| Then we stopped at a playground before the Journey into Africa Tour. |
This place is huge!
| They have lots and lots of animals. | I finally have to make Dad put the camera down. | Checking out the parrots with Mom. |
The petting area at the Wild Animal Park. | You look familiar...
| I had a good day at the San Diego Wild Animal Park | It was all just a little too much fun. |
The 2nd day we visited the San Diego Zoo.
| There were thousands of birds.
| And a couple of pandas.
| We took the sky buckets from one side of the park to the other. |
I got to see the elephants for a long time.
|
Hippos sleep a lot.
| The super smart bonobos were too smart to play with me. | Gorillas up close and personal.
|
The even had a baby gorilla.
| And lots of fish, of course.
| Long-tailed macaques were all over the place! | Most of the time we just had to wait for the animals. |
Except at the petting zoo.
| The otters were friendly and curious.
| I had enough of the zoo half-way through the last show.
| So we rode the sky buckets back the car and called it a day. |
You, carry me down to Black's Beach. | Look everyone, I made it to the beach all by myself. | The water was cold, so Mom helped me out. | Then Dad carried me back up again. |
From Black's, to Surf, Long, and Seal - We hit every cool SoCal beach. | And finally ate lunch at Ruby's at the end of the pier at Seal Beach. | Our serious hiker faces before hiking in the Sierra Madre Mountains. | I could even do part of the Big Santa Anita Canyon Trail. |
We even stopped to check out the river.
| Sturtevant Falls was really beautiful. Mom said we could come back and camp when I am older. | I would have made it back, but Dad started talking about tertiary eocene sandstones something. | The flight back to Atlanta from Los Angeles was a much needed rest.
|
WOW! WHAT FUN!!
ReplyDeleteThese are great pictures! My favorite is the one with the macaques because they kind of mirror you and your own long-(pony)tailed macaque, Dad!
